We give you

all glory and praise and gratitude this day and forever.

Call to Confession (Charley)

The grace of God overflows for us through Christ Jesus

who came into the world to save sinners.

Trusting in God's Grace, let us confess our sin.

(Let’s read together.)

Holy and Merciful God,

In your presence we confess our failure to be what you created us to be.  You alone know how often we have sinned in wandering from your ways, in wasting your gifts, in forgetting your love.  By your loving mercy, help us to live in your light and abide in our ways, for the sake of Jesus Christ, Our Savior.

let’s be reconciled with each other. (All say)

The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

And also, with you.

Prayer for Illumination (Linda)

God, Source of all Light,

By your Word you give light to the soul.

pour out upon us the spirit of wisdom

our hearts and minds may be opened to know the things

that pertain to life and holiness,

through Jesus Christ our Lord.

A Mighty Fortress Is Our God

GTG #275

Affirmation of Faith

The Apostles Creed

(Let’s read together.)

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit

and born of the virgin Mary.

He suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried;

he descended to hell.

The third day he rose again from the dead.

He ascended to heaven

and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.

From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy catholic church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Prayers of the People (Linda, with Bob taking notes)

(Prayers of Praise & Thanksgiving) Lord in your Love & Faithfulness

(all respond) Hear our Praise!

(Prayers of Intercession) Lord in your Abundant Grace & Mercy

(all respond) Hear our Prayer!

Ending Prayer – ... Amen
